Pt. IV The Front Door

Echo had paused to let Sec catch up, she’d gained quite a lead on her friend. Sec seemed off somewhere else repeatedly pausing and staring off at nothing, touching specific rocks for minutes at a time. By the time she’d reached the massive door at the top of the stairs she seemed to have regained her sense of purpose, striding forward into the cavernous hall as if she’d walked these stones a thousand times and knew exactly where she was going. R.o.b. Stayed below a ways, preferring to stand sentinel where his scans wouldn’t be obscured by the thick walls, but Echo walked into the shadow, trusting her friend’s instincts to lead them onward.
